With knitting looms, the gauge is the space between the pages, measured from the centre of one peg to the centre of the one beside it. Gauge in needle knitting is how many rows can fit in a 10cm x 10cm swatch. However, certain peg spacings are the same as the swatches made with different sizes of knitting needles.
Tip: If you’re working on a project that has strict gauge usage, make a swatch on your loom, keep track of rows, and then start the project.
